The Martha's Vineyard Food & Wine Festival Returns

The Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival is coming back and is better than ever.

Celebrating the rich culinary artistry of the Island and its bountiful seafood and farming culture, the four-day festival will feature seven intimate events running October 19 - 22, 2023. The finest chefs on the Island will be joined by culinary artists from the Northeast in the revamped festival produced by The Friends of MV Concert Series and a21. Tickets for the Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival went on sale in August. Proceeds from the festival help to directly fund charitable organizations that support Island arts, education, and recreation to enrich the quality of life on the Island.

The Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival will begin with a celebration of the Best of the Best of the Vineyard at the beautiful Harbor View Hotel. With the stunning Edgartown Lighthouse and the harbor as its backdrop, the Island’s finest chefs will be joined by their culinary peers from across the Northeast and the world. Guests will enjoy delicious bites from top local and national chefs, expertly paired with wines and spirits from our select beverage partners.  VIP packages for all events each day are available to reserve. The VIP packages feature many exclusive opportunities, such as: meet and greet the Chefs, kitchen tours, speciality cocktails, wines, autographed menus, photo ops with the chefs, gift bags, and much, much more.

MV Food & Wine Dinner Series: Dine On The Vine! Lock up a table at some of the most in-demand restaurants on Martha's Vineyard for exclusive collaborations as the top chefs on the Vineyard pair their talents with award-winning culinary talent from the Northeast in the Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Dinner Series. The series includes dinners at Bettini, Atria, The Red Cat, and The Dunes where visiting chefs will collaborate with each local chef and combine their extensive knowledge to create a unique tasting menu with the finest fresh and local ingredients that the Vineyard has to offer. Each dinner is sold separately.

The Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Dinner Series will begin Friday night with an intimate tasting menu at the luxurious Bettini in Edgartown. Located inside the picturesque Harbor View Hotel, guests will enjoy breathtaking views of Edgartown Harbor as Executive Chef Juan Martinez partners with mother-son duo, Lydia Shire and Alex Pineda, to prepare a meal patrons will never forget.

The Dinner Series continues Friday night as guests are invited to step inside Chef/Owner Christian Thornton’s Atria. Once named one of the most romantic restaurants in the region by Boston Magazine, Atria is the definition of fine dining on the Island. Trained by Wolfgang Puck, Thornton has gained high praise for his “global comfort food.”

On Saturday, the Dinner Series heads to Oak Bluffs, where Chef and Owner Ben DeForest runs Red Cat Kitchen. For almost two decades, RCK has been the place for edgy culinary creativity and a merging of the finest agri and aquaculture farm to table dining experiences on the Island.

The final Dinner Series event will take place at The Dunes at Winnetu Oceanside Resort. Chef Richard Doucette will combine his passion, creativity and training to create an unforgettable epicurean experience just steps from South Beach.

Martha’s Vineyard’s Food & Wine Grand Tastings: Farming is an integral part of life on the Vineyard and the Grand Tasting on Saturday will celebrate the beautiful bounty that Fall brings to the Island. More than a dozen chefs will craft unique amuse-bouches that showcase farm fresh fall ingredients. From the first settlers and native peoples, Martha’s Vineyard has always had a rich fishing history. That history lives on today on the docks of Menemsha and the bounty that emerges from the waters surrounding our Island home. The Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival will celebrate that tradition on Sunday with a special Grand Tasting dedicated to all things seafood just steps from the ocean at the Winnetu Resort in Edgartown. Fresh oysters, fish and beautiful shellfish from the Island paired expertly with wine, cocktails and spirits from our beverage partners will be available from more than a dozen chefs.
