Affordable Custom Built Kitchens
Living on the Island has its limitations, of course there’s the obvious, we’re surrounded by water. To effectively deal with that, we must plan a trip off, and back on, make rigid reservations, pay for passage to go six miles, show-up a half an hour early, take a boat ride, and finally drive to that box store where we can purchase kitchen cabinets (either bring them back and assemble them ourselves, and/or) pay for shipping. Whew! Who needs the hassle?
Well, now you don’t have to. Long-time Islander Bob Perry can assist you with your design, the manufacturing, the finishing, painting, and the delivery to your home or job site, all at box store prices.
Bob’s concept grew over time. Fifteen years ago he opened a store specializing in unfinished furniture. An electrical contractor by trade, and with space available in his Vineyard Haven warehouse, he wanted to offer affordable furniture to Islanders.
Bob’s secret is he works exclusively with a small family owned quality workshop in the state of Maine. Over the years, he found there was more and more demand for finished kitchen cabinets and furniture (kitchen islands and tables). So he started offering a full service package, from design concept to delivery, at affordabe costs.
All furniture and cabinets are custom, hand-built from oak, maple or pine, finished in clear coat, stain or painted to meet his customer’s specific needs.
Bob also maintains a furnishings and lighting showroom on Evelyn Way in Vineyard Haven.
“We offer a basic line of lighting fixtures - including LED.” he says, “all at off-Island prices.”
“Oh yeah,” he adds, “we still sell unfinished pine furniture.”
He’s open Tuesday thru Saturday 10 to 4 pm.
